National data protection authority in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence ("SDAIA") is currently the data regulator. In 2025, consideration will be given to transferring the competence to supervise the application of the PDPL (and its Implementing Regulations) to the National Data Management Office.

The Saudi Central Bank and the CST both appear to maintain their jurisdiction to regulate data protection within their remit.
